    The Aglianico Grape: A historical journey from ancient origins to modern Australian vineyards. Aglianico is one of the oldest known varieties, with a history that traces back to ancient times. It is believed to have been brought to Italy by the Greeks around the 7th century BC, during the time of Greek colonisation.     Halliday’s 2024 Top 100 Australian Wineries

    In the annual Halliday Wine Companion Top 100 Wineries, we have been lucky enough to be included in this years list!

    Fighting Gully Road has been ranked 77th, and are incredibly proud of this achievement. No only have we been able to secure the Top Five-Star winery rating this year (which refers to a winery with a long track record of excellence, having held a five-star rating continuously for at least 10 years…the best of the best in Australia), but we’ve also been included in this years Halliday Top 100 Winery list. We’ve been here since 1997, so its nice to get this recognition from the Halliday tasting team. Our aim is to deliver premium wines, consistently, that speak of terroir, and of the season in which they have come.
