This Saturday, our vigneron Mark Walpole will once again be pouring at the North x North East Victorian Wine Festival, returning to Melbourne’s iconic Old Melbourne Gaol – City Watch House for the second year running. Bringing together some of the finest producers from across Victoria’s High Country, the festival is a celebration of one of Australia’s most exciting and diverse wine regions.
Representing Beechworth, Fighting Gully Road will be joined by an outstanding line-up of wineries from Rutherglen, King Valley, Mansfield, Nagambie Lakes, Strathbogie Ranges and the Upper Goulburn. It’s a rare opportunity to meet the people behind the wines, taste current releases, and discover the remarkable diversity that makes the North East Wine Zone so highly regarded.
Fresh from the recent success of our 2023 Smith Vineyard Chardonnay, named White Wine of the Year by The Real Review, as well as being shortlisted as Winemaker of the Year for the 2027 Halliday Wine Companions, Mark is looking forward to sharing a selection of Fighting Gully Road wines and chatting with wine lovers throughout the day.

The festival runs across three tasting sessions on Saturday, 2 August, with more than 60 wines on pour in the historic surrounds of the Old Melbourne Gaol.
