Petite Arvine is a white grape variety grown mainly in Valais, Switzerland and Italy’s Valle d’Aosta. Petit Arvine is typically found growing among the apple orchards in Aosta valley, so it feels right at home in Stanley, an elevation.

Aromatically, there are floral notes of wisteria, hints of rhubarb and grapefruit. This wine is complex, concentrated, virile and intense. The first of its kind on Australian soil. An exciting new chapter for Fighting Gully Road.

This 2025 fruit has all been grown in Stanley, at our new Europa Vineyard. This vineyard is the highest altitude vineyard for Fighting Gully Road at 740m-750m above sea level.

This is the second release of this ancient European white grape variety pioneered by the producer and planted in his new, high altitude, 740-750m Europa Vineyard at Stanley. The two were meant for each other, the Swiss/Italian variety enjoying the cooler environment and bringing a smart mix of the citrus and the savoury matched to scintillating acidity. Zings in lemon peel, grapefruit citrus, lemon butter, pear, spiced apple and lifted white flowers with an enticing almond skin, light nutty savouriness. Acidity crunches."
