Product Details

Gros Manseng made in the traditional style of the Jurançon, of south-west France. Harvested late in April this complex wine has unique aromas of mango, lychee and pineapple; while on the palate, richness is softened by the varieties citrus-like acidity, giving a fresh finish to the wine.

Wine review

Exquisitely sticky. Born of a variety that delivers extract, juiciness and a thrill ride of acidity, billowing across notes of camphor, cardamon, toffee apple and citrus blossom. The acidity mops up any sense of sweetness, delivering a vortex of savory force and compelling length, with a balletic levity that belies the wine's sheer tenacity. Drink or hold. Screw cap - 96 points."
- Ned Goodwin MW for James Suckling.
90g/L RS. The wine's sweetness appears as a lemon pastille-like zingy brightness and is largely emphasised across the mid-palate where it is artfully matched by equally zesty acidity. Honeysuckle, quince, citrus, nectarine and honey frame this elegant dessert style, which also signals further fruitful ageing potential. The famous grape of the Jurançon in southwest France has found a new home in Oz. 375ml - 92 points."
- Jeni Port for Halliday Wine Companion.
